The session, scheduled for May 21st, will feature battle-tested speakers who will shed light on the importance of community engagement and provide invaluable insights into how public comments influence decision-makers.

  • TUESDAY, MAY 21ST, Dr. Kim Terrell and Gianna St. Julien. How to stay informed and make your voice heard regarding proposed industrial projects (i.e. notice and comment). This training will use the Wanhua victory as an example.

    Plus, a special guest: Government Leader, which cannot be announced until 48-hours in advance of the session.

  • TUESDAY, MAY 28TH, Cyndhia Ramatchandirane. Live guide on using EJSCREEN and LDEQ’s EDMS to make public comments. This training will use the proposed Air Products Blue Hydrogen plant as an example.

    Scott Eustis. Live guide on the Federal (USACE) and State Coastal (LA OCM) Wetlands Impact Trackers, and how to stay up to date and how to comment on the cumulative impacts of Ammonia and CO2 hazards being proposed for your local wetlands.

    For this training, we will focus on the cumulative impacts, pollution, and risks of Denbury / Shanghai Bi Ke Clean Hydrogen Works.

  • TUESDAY, JUNE 4TH, Panel. How does public comment hold officials accountable? Plus, general tips on written and spoken comments.

75% of the seats are available for residents of St. John the Baptist, St. James, and St. Charles Parishes; there are no restrictions on the remaining 25%.

The course is 100% online.
